GROUP EXERCISE: TYPES OF CLASSES

Lets face it, working out can be healthy, rewarding, beneficial… working out can be lots of things, but its never been known to be this much fun… UNTIL NOW! Zumba fuses latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic workout system. Zumba fanatics achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, heart-racing, muscle-pumping, body-energizing movements. Class taught by Edyta Saltsman and is complimentary to members. Sign-up early because this class will fill up fast!

Body Sculpt: Increase your lean muscle mass and improve your strength and endurance while burning body fat! Utilizing the body bar, hand weights, and the stability ball; this workout also features abdominal conditioning and balance training for a full-body workout.

Cardio Sculpt: Classes include cardiovascular fitness, lower-body strengthening, and muscular endurance training.

Group Xtreme: This 60 minute class utilizes hand weights, bands, Bosu balance trainers, and bars to challenge all major muscle groups of the upper and lower body. Cardio intervals include low/high impact aerobics, kickboxing, Zumba and Bosu step training; this workout also features abdominal conditioning and balance training for a full-body workout that will burn maximum calories. All fitness levels welcome.

Pilates Mat: Taught by MVHC Pilates instructors these floor work based classes are a great introduction to the Pilates Method and provide excellent core strength and stability training.

Pilates Abs with Props: The Pilates Method, with the addition of balls, rollers, and bands for another dimension of fitness.

Group Cycling: The class will take you through hill climbs, sprints, jumps, pacing, and interval training; an exhilarating cardio workout! (Heart rate monitors
are highly recommended). All classes are 50 minutes long (unless noted otherwise). See the Cycling program page for our Cycling class schedule.

Stretch & Core: 60 minutes of passive and active stretching. This class is a great compliment to both strength and cardiovascular training. Passive and active stretching from head to toe keep your muscles and spine supple. Core work to keep you toned and strong. Clear your mind with relaxation at the end of class.
