In 1993 John joined his brother Michael at our first club Body Kinetics. Since then he has worked with clients of all abilities and ages, from as young as 6 yrs. to a 98 year old client. He has worked with physical therapy clients and the very deconditioned to high level athletes training for competition. Most clients are novice exercisers trying to stay healthy, some are recreational athletes trying to get more enjoyment and performance in their sport, many have some kind of recent or chronic injury. As a Dietitian he sees many clients who are interested in weight loss and has developed an unique style combining fitness training and diet change coaching to bring about lasting results.
Azzaddine Kachkach

In 2001, Azzaddine received his Bachelor degree in Kinesiology, majoring in athletic training from Sonoma State University. His internship at College Of Marin as athletic trainer assistant with the athletic department surpassed 1500 hours. He helped with the collegiate program doing strength and conditioning, and rehabilitation. Since 2001, Azzaddine has been working not only with clients, but also has been instrumental in facilitating and mentoring our new personal trainers with the personal training apprenticeship program. In addition, he is the small group training and personal training director.
Azzaddine’s extensive education and training, and wealth of experience has given him expertise in assisting clients to alleviate pain due to injury, postural/muscular and biomechanical imbalance, as well as gain strength, stamina and flexibility. He uses a innovative approach to training incorporating a variety of apparatus and exercises.
Dave Phillips

With over 7 years experience as a personal trainer at MVHC, Dave brings knowledge, innovation and fun to his training. He's is great at designing a specific conditioning program to suit your needs, whether you want to lose weight, feel better, or compete in athletic competitions. Dave focuses on fitness being an enjoyable pain-free experience. His hands on approach has his clients feel comfortable with their program and keeps them focused on their health and fitness goals.

Laura's mission is to help her clients achieve a greater level of awareness about what healthy and fit means to them and how it can realistically be prioritized in their lives. She provides the motivation, direction, and information necessary to succeed in reaching fitness goals and greater wellness. Laura's belief is that if workouts are convenient and specifically tailored to your needs and personality, results will occur.

Edyta received her certification as a fitness trainer after completing an extended 500-hour program at the National Personal Training Institute of San Francisco. The innovative and comprehensive curriculum of the institute is designed to give fitness trainers knowledge of nutrition, anatomy, physiology and the practical experience to become a successful professional.
Ellen Karpay-Brody

Ellen
has been a certified and practicing fitness professional since 1997.
Her professional experience includes extensive work with older adults,
triathletes, runners, persons desiring general fitness, and persons
desiring lifestyle balance in nutrition and stress resiliency.
Ellen is an 8-time Ironman triathlon finisher and 3-time Boston Marathon finisher. Her current and most challenging endurance event is raising her 3 young children. Ellens extensive athletic background includes intercollegiate basketball and volleyball, age-group triathlon, cross-county skate-skiing, tennis, racquetball, bicycling, and running.
In addition to personal training Ellen is a writer and speaker of fitness and training subjects. She is the author of The Everything Total Fitness Book.
Stacey Agoustari
Certified Personal Trainer
Stacey has lived in Mill Valley for 12 years. She is an avid recreational tennis player, enjoys hiking, mountain biking and snow skiing. Stacey completed the Mill Valley Health Club Apprenticeship Fitness Program and is becoming a NASM certified trainer. She is also a certified cycling instructor. She is passionate about health and fitness and wants to share her experience with clients. She will assist them in setting realistic goals and developing individualized, progressive fitness programs that are achievable and motivating. She is dedicated to your success and strives to maximize your time and effort while creating a supportive and enjoyable workout.
