Johanna Baumbach
Master Pilates Teacher
Johanna brings a lifetime of dance, theater, and screen arts to her Pilates teaching. She has performed with such luminary ballet companies as American Ballet Theater, Elliot Feld, and San Francisco Ballet. Her second career in wholesale and retail executive management was training ground for a teaching style that is precise, motivating, and challenging.

Sharon Hartley
Master Pilates Teacher
Sharon studied dance from the age of two years until she completed her degree in Modern Dance from California State University at Fresno. She was a professional dancer for 10 years working in Las Vegas, Montreal, the Bahamas, Reno & Tahoe. After a stint at Personnel Consulting, Sharon realized that she needed to incorporate her movement experience with her strong desire to help people & was certified in both Personal Fitness Training & Aerobics Training before becoming a Pilates Teacher.

Sara Brown
Professional Pilates Teacher
During her undergraduate studies at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA Sara began working as a horse trainer specializing in hunters and jumpers – a passion and profession that she continues today. She has found that Pilates improves “symmetry in the saddle” and also has helped her minimize a life-long minor scoliosis.

Lane Driscoll
Professional Pilates Teacher
Lane’s scientific background in Biochemistry has given her a deeper understanding of the body and its systems from the biomechanical to the biochemical. Her Pilates studies have fortified her belief that since the body is always changing, with some direction, and open attitude and some work, it can always change for the better. Lane is an avid skier, inline and ice skater, a dancer and a tap dance instructor.

Jane Disson
Certified Pilates Instructor
Jane is a native New Yorker, who moved to Marin in 1990. Jane has practiced Pilates since 1999 after sustaining an knee injury and was introduced to the method as part of her post operative rehabilitation program. Her struggle with injuries has infused Jane with a heightened sensitivity to working with students who are similarly injured and in pain. Jane is a natural teacher, and is incredibly passionate about sharing Pilates with everybody.

Lani Hoge
Certified Pilates Teacher
Lani came to Pilates as a way to strengthen her core and spine after suffering over 8 years of post partum lower back pain due to bulging discs. After 4 months of gentle Pilates training she was able to end her chiropractor visits. After a year of exercises her posture changed and she became virtually back pain free. Lani is certified through ITT Pilates Integrated Teacher Training Program and is trained through the BASI - Body Arts and Science International Pilates program. She is ready to share her success and enthusiasm for Pilates with you as a Certified Pilates Instructor at the Mill Valley Health Club and Spa.
