Karsson Seale
Massage Therapist
Karsson’s philosophy and approach to massage is to build interpersonal relationships with her clients in an effort to truly treat the body as a whole. “each client deserves a massage that will fulfill both areas of comprehension; because the needs of the physical body are vastly parallel to that of the emotional needs of each client at hand.” She strives to be a catalyst for such integration and considers it very important for each client to experience. Karsson was originally interested in the field of journalism with an integrated interest in health and nutrition but found that it lacked the personal connections she was striving for. after making the switch to massage therapy, she quickly discovered that this profession was an exact fit for her talents and goals. Karsson received her degree in Massage Therapy from the Chicago School of Massage where her emphasis was largely centered on the study of deep tissue and positional release. She was also certified in pre-natal massage and cranial-sacral. She is currently a professional member of the american Massage Therapy association for the fourth year in a row. Karsson recently moved to Marin from Chicago where she had her own practice for 4 years while also working at Discover Chiropractic and other reputable establishments. Over the years she has acquired extensive knowledge and training working with people of diverse backgrounds. “I look at each person as a puzzle to discover what their bodies are missing and what kinds of massage techniques they could benefit from the most. To me, this is the most exciting kind of challenge.” Massage therapy is truly her lifelong passion and she looks forward to sharing her skills and training in supporting MVHC members attain their health and fitness goals.
Laila Pattarawadi Dessle
Massage Therapist
Laila describes her massage with this simple motto: " My massage is the art of two hands and a heart." Laila is a deep, soulful person and it is reflected in her massage. She has studied massage and its different modalities both in school and in her free time. Originally from Thailand, Laila is an expert at Thai massage and she has studied the ancient art form extensively back home. In 2004, she came to the United States and immediately earned her CMT at The Institute of Conscious Bodywork-Alive and Well. Laila says her education is far from over and that she never intends to stop learning about massage. She acknowledges that while extensive knowledge of technique and body mechanics is helpful, it is not enough to make you an excellent massage therapist. She sees massage as a meditative and healing art form that the practitioner must truly focus his or her energy to heal the client.
