Private Pilates Sessions: The fastest way to learn, where you get one-on-one attention. Best for people with pre-existing conditions and special populations.
Duets: Share a session with a buddy.
Pilates Apparatus Classes: offer clients an affordable way to work with a fully trained Pilates instuctor in a small group setting. Classes are no more than six students and are offered from beginning to advanced levels. To receive the best possible price, scheduling and one-time payment, sign up for Guaranteed Time Slot (GTS). While priority is given to those who sign up for the GTS format, the group equipment classes are available on a space available basis for students who wish to pay for single sessions or in 10 packs.
Types of Apparatus Classes
First Step: A Pilates apparatus class that does not require any previous Pilates experience! We start at the beginning as we introduce you to the work of Joseph Pilates: Mat, Tower, Reformer and Chair exercises... we have packed all of it into this dynamic new program. You must be injury free to participate in this class.
Level 2,3,4: Continue learning and challenging yourself. Developing a stronger core means you can perform more difficult exercises with ease. Your body will begin to change with long lean muscles and a more flexible spine.
Pilates for Osteoporosis: Build strength and bone tissue in this challenging and effective class.
Xtreme Pilates: This is a strictly advanced class. 3 years minimum pilates experience and instructor approval required.
Pilates for Teens: (offered periodically) Looking for a way to inspire your teenager to a life of greater strength and fitness? Pilates training for Youth is a great way to improve your teenager’s: core strength, posture, athletic performance and overall coordination.
Pilates Mat and Abs with Props (taught in group ex room and included at no extra charge)
Pilates Mat: Taught by MVHC Pilates instructors these floor work based classes are a great introduction to the Pilates Method and provide excellent core strength and stability training.
Pilates Abs with Props: The Pilates Method, with the addition of balls, rollers, and bands for another dimension of fitness. This is a multi-level class.
Pilates Teacher Trainees need Practice Students: Private Pilates sessions ae available with our Pilates Teacher Trainers for $35 a session. The commitment is to a 10 pack of Private Sessions for $350. Please give your contact information to the front desk. Limit of 30 sessions.
Monitored workout: Where a teacher is available to answer questions, teach a new exercise or coach current exercises, takes place on Saturday noon–2pm.
