YOGA: TYPES OF YOGA

Iyengar Yoga: Build strength while creating flexibility. Based on the teachings of living yoga master BKS Iyengar, this is a suitable class for all levels. Emphasis is placed on adapting the practice to the needs of the individual. Good for those who enjoy working with detail and precision and excellent for those with injuries or limitations.

Yoga Flow: These classes make up the core of our yoga program and are broken up into three levels of difficulty. Yoga Flow classes focus on fine tuning the relationship between classical Hatha yoga postures and breath control. Vigorous and fun. Level 2/3 classes offer a challenging yoga.

Restorative Yoga/Yoga Slow: A blend of gentle movements and relaxation supported by props that will help bring your mind/body back into balance. You will feel relaxed and deeply rested as your body lets go of stress and your mind becomes still.

Yin: A practice style that emphasizes long held passive stretches which enhance the flexibility and overall health of our joiints and interconnective tissue. We target the low spine, hips, pelvis, knees and ankles. This deep meditative practice complements all other activites and is a great balance to the more active yang styles of yoga.

Yoga Fit: Eric blends vinyasa with ashtanga styles of yoga. There is a combination of restive poses with extended time to go deeper along with very dynamic and athletic poses that will push your edges. The goal of his teaching is to get you to listen to your body and honor it while you are in the studio. It is his hope you practice this throughout your week.
